Accessibility

Everyone is welcome at the Museum of Justice! We do our best to make sure everyone has a good experience. If you have any questions see our contact information at the bottom of this page.

The museum has ramps for access

English language
Translating the museum is something we are constantly working on, but it takes time. Some of our exhibits are translated. Some translations can be found in booklets by the entrance to the exhibit. Please also ask our receptionists if there is something not translated that you are curious about.

Physical accessibility
The museum is found within two buildings, which both have ramps, handicap accessible toilets, and space to turn a wheelchair. All floors in both buildings are accessible with an elevator/lift.

Both buildings are listed and historical preservation means that some doors in the Criminal Asylum are too narrow for wheelchairs.

Most of the museum’s text-based communication can be read from a seated position.

Orientation before a visit
You can read about many of our exhibits here to get orientated before a visit. Please also do not hesitate to call or contact us through email or social media if you require additional information.

Accompanying person
Licenced chaperones get in free. Please show your certificate.

Impaired vision
None of our exhibits are described for the visually impaired in English, unfortunately.

The museum lacks visually distinct guidelines and we recommend blind visitors visit with a companion.

Allergies
The museum is an allergy friendly place. All cleaning is done without perfume and we have no plants or flowers. Guests are not permitted to bring their dogs.
